Collector

The Collector shall be elected annually at the Annual Meeting of the Church for a one-year term, and may be re-elected for a total of five consecutive terms.


1. Pick-up and record Sunday worship and church school offerings. Cash receipts will be counted by two people (one may be the Collector) at the end of the second service.

2. Receive and record special offerings from special services and gatherings.

3. Collect and record memorial fund donations.

4. Make weekly bank deposits of offerings and give totals of account breakdown to Treasurer.

5. Make monthly reports to Finance Board and quarterly reports to the Church Council.

6. Mail quarterly statements to pledging members who are delinquents.

7. Mail half-year statements to all pledging units.

8. Mail end-of-year statements during January to all givers.

9. Collect and record pledges for pledging units for Current Expenses and Missions for annual pledge drive, keeping a running total during the drive.

10. Receive and record special fund-raising pledges and donations.

11. Keep running total of donations and pledges for fund-raising drives.

12. Serve as voting member of Finance Board and Church Council.

13. Maintain supply of envelopes for church offerings.

14. Order and maintain supplies for Collector's mailings and record keeping.
