The Moderator shall be elected annually at the Annual Meeting of the Church for a one-year term, and may be re-elected for a total of five consecutive terms.

1.  Moderator shall be Chair of Church Council, conducting monthly meetings, consulting with the pastor regarding agenda items and making sure each Council member has equal voice in discussions.

2.  Appoint ad hoc committees as approved by Church Council.

3.  Establish, in cooperation with the Clerk, agenda for Annual Meeting and any special meetings of the congregation.Preside at Annual and Special meetings of the church.

4.  Sign legal documents as a representative of the church.

5.  Submit an Annual Report of church and Church Council activities for review at the Annual Meeting.
